Here it is
A new year to live
We should focus each day
on new ways to give
To give of our time
To give of our mind
To give when it's needed
Is much more than kind
It's a movement that molds
over time who we'll be
When before we were selfish
Today others see
That we aren't who they thought
We aren't what they said
We forgot what was past
And now we look straight ahead
We think of today
and we plan for tomorrow
We help those in need
When they ask us to borrow
We turn and we share
Whatever they need
We try to reflect
Compassion, not greed
So, no matter your past
It's over and done
You cannot change what was
It has set with the sun
It's a new year for you
For a new way of living
Make the example you show
be one based on giving
