The Fight

Since the beginning
of this country's life
It has thrived on debate
and anger and strife

Those who have interests
be it selfish or noble
be it local or regional
or widespread and global

Push their agenda
as they look for support
they check the Constitution
and say this stands up in court

What ever it is
Welfare, Defense, or our Health
is pushed through the Congress
as we lose liberty and wealth

The rich are the problem
The right is all wrong
The left want more government
It's the same dance and song

With divisions we fight
We argue on issues
and our country cries out
please pass me the tissues

It knows in it's heart
that it isn't the same
and the land of the free
is no longer it's name

We slowly surrender
this liberty so rare
No country on earth
lives as free as we dare

Ask a Briton
or a Frenchman and they'll say
This country you have
could have shown us the way

But instead you have squandered
What was given by God
In backrooms with handshakes
with a wink and a nod.

The men we elect
Rich beyond our own dreams
divide all the classes
and it's not as it seems

They tell you the rich
gain from our grief
they hold us all down
and they steal like a thief

But they are rich themselves
and they don't tell you that
It's the power they crave
and on lies they grow fat

As long as the poor
are kept in that class
they'll need what is given
as they grow like a mass

That's the goal of the elected
To stay in control of your life
They'll take all our guns
Then outlaw the knife

When they control your existence
When they have all you need
You'll beg for their mercy
As you scratch, claw, and bleed

This Country once made
so each man was born free
is unrecognizable
and it no longer can be

A land set apart
for dreams to come true
a land that rewards
hard work that you do

A place made by men
who no longer exist
who in spirit beg us on
if we only persist

Don't give up on the idea
that a man is his own
a master of fate
he dreams all alone

His decisions determine
If he is at last a success
or if his actions all fail
and he settles for less

At least life is his
and not a governments tool
so rich leaders can force him
to act as their fool

No matter the end
No matter what takes place
Never give up what God gave you
keep it right on your face

The look of true freedom
That expression of fight
That knowing this country
was born from whats right

Men today try to make us
scared and in need
but they will only inslave us
but at birth we were freed

This country is ours
Not the Left or the Right
Never surrender the Spirit
Never give up the Fight

Sobering and saddening.

Goodmorning,
I just listened to the first hour of Fridays broadcast of the Mark Levin show. He enlightened me to some sobering issues going on within the federal government. Now, I am not a conspiracy theorist nor am I in a position financially to go "prepping" for the eventual collapse, but I am aware.
Levin began by explaining the Obama administrations push to have an entire fleet of unmanned drones sufficient to cover every state up and running in the next few months. Meanwhile, the administration and it's respective agencies including the Social Security Administration have been purchasing 40 cal and 9 mm ammunition in unheard of quantities. The amounts put in perspective are enough to shoot every man, woman, and child, including illegal immigrants 5 times or an amount to carry on a 24 year long Iraqi war holding to 5 million rounds expended within a month long period as was the case.
Now Levin brought a new scenario to the table for me that I knew was possible but thought not probable. He stated it was his opinion that both the drones and the ammo purchases were not to combat a potential insurrection but instead they will be needed to deal with the consequences of the collapse of our financial structure, our economy, and the civil unrest that will follow.
He referred us to both Spain and Greece and went on to say the federal and local authorities will be dealing with a very desperate populace that will have no means of travel, no access to food, and no ability to shelter or clothe themselves. It will result in humanity reacting at it's basest level to survive. Looting. Home and business invasions. Literally killing in the streets much like the LA Riots but in a macrocosm. Obama, Janet Napolitano, Eric Holder, and the agencies they over see are preparing for hell on Earth here in the United States once the programs and actions they have put in place have run their course and wiped out our nations solvency.
I sit and think on such things and see a connection in the attempt to limit large capacity magazines and semiautomatic weapons including the AR15.
It is a moment like this that I am appreciative of the fact that so many of my fellow Americans are apathetic and ignorant to what is going on and clueless as to what to do. If we were all enlightened, I feel many would resort to a panic mode mentality and speed things along making what is still preventable a certainty.
I worry for my family both extended and immediate and I am concerned about my ability to respond in a prepared manner.
It saddens me that it has come to this. I read history and it harkens back to the Weimar republic and the hyper inflation they suffered after world war 1. The currency collapsed and it required a wheel barrow full of Deutschmarks just to purchase a loaf of bread.
If this comes to pass and I pray it will not, I hold our country's federal government totally responsible and that goes for all three branches. They knew. They knew the actions (or inaction) they took would result in far reaching and destructive consequences that would lead to the deaths of many many Americans and at the minimum an unheard of amount of destroyed.
We must prepare the best way we can and even if we have no means to do so, we must mentally prepare ourselves for what is becoming more and more likely to pass.

From far away

Can we ever avoid the fatal mistake,
of judging another we feel is a fake
by calling him out and telling him off
Then clearing our throat with a slightly heard cough

We tell him how we compare to his life
How he isn't a father and not even his wife
respects who he is and he's a failure thus far
and it was even yourself who sold him his car

Without others he's nothing
A mooch and a drag
You've been self sufficient
and that's what you brag

How you're all together
and he's all apart
He grumbles and listens
So now you really can start

To point out the flaws
each decision gone wrong
to the point that your wailing
like you're singing a song

But while you are deep
in your judgement so cruel
you fail to take notice
that this isn't a duel

It's you and your target
This man you show hate
This man you describe
as not worth the wait

He rarely fires back
He responds with suprise
and wonders how you
can spout off such lies

You don't know my life
You don't live my days
You never came by
and witnessed my ways

You don't know my heart
You don't know my life
You don't know my sons
and you don't know my wife.

You could have come by
You could have stopped in
You could have been nice
that's a good place to begin

Think of the words
The things you just said
and the way they'll be with you
until you are dead

The words of a stupid
and ignorant lot
who spewed all his venom
with out any thought

Does it make you that much
better of a man
to harm anothers heart
the worst that you can

It only reveals
A hole in your mind
that will never be filled
by being unkind
