Mother’s Day 3018

Tomorrow is the day we say thank you to the person who brought us into being. The person who would be there in support no matter the circumstance. The person who by their very nature would give their life so that you could keep yours. The person who sacrificed their own wants and desires so that you could attain yours. The person who never mentioned any of this to you while raising you from infant to adult. All that person did and if they still walk the earth you can bet they still do, is love you in a way that only a mother can. For that they deserve so much more than just one day and I hope you use tomorrow to remind yourself just that. In the mean time I say thank you so much mothers for being who God intended you to be. The life force of this world. Happy Mothers day.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you
Who have a son or daughter who tightly cling to
Your apron strings
Your providing care
Who appreciate those moments
That you were there
Who look to you now
And call you mother
No matter how many
Sisters and brothers
Do the same with equal love
They look to you
And thank God above
For all you've done
For all you'll do
Because a mother's work
Is never through....

THANKS TO ALL WHO TOOK THE TIME

Today, February 10, 2012, was the day my Blog, "As Sumner Sees It", hit 1000 views. I had no idea it would ever reach that point, let alone so soon. I see it as a blessing and an opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to check me out. With out you I would be but a lone voice in the wilderness.

Now it is April 18, 2013. Today, I have 3333 views as I type. The readers have spanned the globe from Russia to Singapore. I have many posts and to show how so many get their share of readers I believe my most popular post has but 50 to 60 views. So, it appears I appeal to many in many different ways. Perhaps. I can only assume and boost my ego with speculation. Why not? Actually it is probably more in the middle. Some read and quit before they finish wondering why they bothered. Others read and think me some mental wave rider worth their time. Still, more are most likely neither inspired nor offended. They just want to see what I threw out this time. It doesn't matter to me. I am grateful for it all. This kind of expression. This sharing of my thoughts and where it takes me is my passion. If only it resulted in a livelihood I would be totally in my bliss. But I will settle for what I have and my thanks goes to you who read my efforts because it is but a therapy session without you. Please comment if it moves you. Your input tells me I'm doing something out there.

Be safe. Be open. Be excited. Life is something to cherish and it is our way of respecting those who no longer walk the earth by living it to it's fullest.

One Big Favor I Ask Of The Reader

I share these posts for all to read and ponder. The one thing I crave from all of this is your feedback. I am but a scream in the wilderness if I post and know nothing of the opinions others have on my thoughts. I know it sounds so narcissistic but it is true that I enjoy comments, be it good, bad, constructive, destructive, or apathetic. I will take each and respect every one with the understanding that your time is valuable and you took some of it to spend with me. Thanks for that above all.
