There comes a time
We start to feel
and then we know
our life is real
We took for granted
the simple things
Like hugs and kisses
and what love brings
Unexpected touches
In the middle of the night
Just to tell us
That all is alright
A simple glance
That tells you so
That lets you know
Where ever you go
That someone cares
and they are here
to keep you calm
to ease your fear
but take it for granted
we all will do
and we won't take notice
until it's through
That time in our life
when all was good
when everything looked
just as it should
Now rooms are empty
and nights are long
and we know this isn't
where we belong
We need that love
that calming glow
that love is here
and all we know
Is now it's gone
and we want it back
because all we had
is what we lack
We start to feel
and then we know
our life is real
We took for granted
the simple things
Like hugs and kisses
and what love brings
Unexpected touches
In the middle of the night
Just to tell us
That all is alright
A simple glance
That tells you so
That lets you know
Where ever you go
That someone cares
and they are here
to keep you calm
to ease your fear
but take it for granted
we all will do
and we won't take notice
until it's through
That time in our life
when all was good
when everything looked
just as it should
Now rooms are empty
and nights are long
and we know this isn't

We need that love
