The beginning

Today is the day of the first post. A day to say America is by and large a country of dependant people who should be more self reliant. The Government has grown to the point of creating an entitlement mentality at the expense of those who make it possible. That class of people who have made it on their own merit and now prop up a culture of people who feel victimized and not responsible for their own lot in life. This mentality can be found in any individual or group that fails to take action when the right decision is to do so. This is reflective in the Penn State scandal, the Catholic Church, those who turn a deaf ear or a blind eye, those who wait for others to act.
Lyndon Johnson said of his Great Society, "This will keep the blacks voting Democrat for the next 40 years.".  Little did we know how true that statement was. The best thing for America as a whole is to end the reliance on government and return to the willful charity of our neighbor and family members when we are in need. The government has taken responsiblity from the individual and now we function as detached observers to the world around us. We must be active in our societies survival and tell the government we do not need it's intrusion in our lives.
